Why should I use your food truck over another? What makes you so special?

Easy. We’re good. Let’s say you have an important event such as a wedding coming up in nine months. If you booked a food truck that wasn’t in business very long, gave them a deposit, and then, shortly before the event, found out that they were out of business, you probably wouldn’t be very happy. Saucy Joe’s Italian is the oldest daily-active and year-round food truck in Detroit. That’s peace of mind.

Here are a few more reasons. We have the experience and know how to handle large groups and serve many guests in a short period of time; we make true gourmet cuisine; we’re reliable.

The food is one of the most important and memorable parts of any important event. Don’t shoot yourself in the foot with the wrong caterer. We believe we have the best food trucks Detroit has to offer.

I have a peanut allergy. Can you guarantee that there will be no peanuts used in or around the food you prepare?

Although we do our best to know when there is or isn’t a certain ingredient that may be an allergen to some people, we will never guarantee that any of our menu items or products are free of certain ingredients that may cause allergic reactions in certain people. If you are concerned about any potential ingredients, it would be your responsibility to determine if you wanted to eat our food. Simply put: We Can Not Guarantee That Any of Our Products Are Free From Allergens.

How many guests can you serve over the course of an hour, on average?

Unfortunately, there is no easy answer to that without knowing all your event details. It's dependent on various factors such as the menu, limited vs unlimited choices, whether we are making each item to order, how many items each guest is ordering, how large our staff is, how we are serving, etc, etc. We would need to make sure the menu, number of people served with the time period allotted works for your particular needs. So, it could be 50 to 250 per hour. It will ultimately be up to you. Fortunately, if you are working with Saucy Joe’s, you’ll be dealing with a professional food truck caterer that is experienced with these varying circumstances.

How long can I keep a jar of unopened sauce?

The ”Best By” date on the jar is the shelf life on store shelves if unopened. If you found a jar in your pantry that's beyond the 'Best By' date, it is not necessarily bad, it just loses flavor quality over time. After a jar has been opened, we recommend refrigerating it no more that 5 days. To save unused sauce longer than 5 days, we recommend freezing it.
